ANGKRINGAN LEK MAN, Spending The Night with Kopi Joss

Angkringan Lek Man, is how people called  this angkringan. Lek means uncle and Man is the name of the owner of this angkringan. Usually angkringan use a push cart contains various kinds of food. But different from other angkringan, angkringan  Lek Man's use pole in the form of both sides filled with rice and fried variety. Not only people at Jogja who know this place, but foreign tourist  not want to miss the opportunity to eat at this place.

Not difficult to find Angkringan Lek Man because it is located in the city center. It's location is just north Stasuin Tugu and can take about 5 minutes from Malioboro by walking. Angkringan is open at 03:00 pm untill 03:00 am. If it was already dark, the lights in angkringan it's called senthir is starts up. Senthir is traditional lighting from Java that can be ignited with kerosene. We can enjoy our food and sit on a mat along the sidewalk around the angkringan.





At Angkringan Lek Man, we can also enjoy the nasi kucing. Nasi kucing is a pack of rice  with anchovy side dish, tempe or codiment. For the people who first time eat  this nasi kucing  do not be surprised because we just got a few per  portion. And  one packet of nasi kucing  usually is really small. But it was comparable to the price offered. One pack of rice this cat appreciated Rp 1500. Taste of nasi kucing does not fail with other foods. But if you who do not like spicy food you better to choose a nasi kucing with dishes tempeh and vermicelli noodles. While the nasi kucing with anchovy side dish or sauce is more spicy taste. Nasi kucing  can be enjoyed as well as the fried tempeh mendoan or tofu. We can instantly enjoy these fried or we can ask to be burned first. But that when it burnt the taste is more sweet.

Different from  other angkringan, Angkringan Lek Man provides Kopi Joss drinks. Kopi Joss is very famous. Kopi is mean coffee so Kopi Joss  is a coffee  that is mixed with charcoal. Charcoal used is charcoal that has been colored red or that has been burning. So the charcoal has already neutral from other variety of bacterial illness. On behalf of Kopi Jos because when inserted into the hot charcoal,  coffee will heard 'Joss,' so it famous as Kopi Joss. The seller of this Jos Coffee can also be used as a remedy a stomach ache. We can enjoy Kopi Joss with  price of Rp 2500.

At this place also provided jadah. Jadah is made from glutinous rice and valued Rp 500. In addition we can also choose a variety of satay, claws and head burns.
