Let's walk on the middle of Jogjakarta city, you will see a famous food stall which use peanut as their ingredient, located in , its name is Lotek Colombo. The Lotek Colombo sells 'lotek' and 'gado-gado', traditional food which is made from mix of vegetables and fine peanut. 

However, you  must be patient to wait 15-20 minutes for a plate of lotek and gado-gado because the number of customer orders each day. A waitress was served lotek and gado-gado to 9-10 people. Can't you imagine how the chef served 10-12 people at the same time? Let's see how lotek or gado-gado created.  First, put on fried peanut nuts, onion, salt, pepper, chili and palm sugar inside a mortar then grind them until it's well done. Second, put steamed vegetables within, and then mix the fine peanuts with them. The chef of Lotek Colombo can serve 10-15 portions of lotek at the same time.

Both of lotek and gado-gado put peanut as theirs spice and put salad, cabbage, bean, carrot and cucumber as theirs vegetables. You can see some variation of gado-gado put on fries onion, chips and egg thereon.  Some people say that peanut spice at gado-gado is sweeter than lotek. The other peanut spice variation menu is 'pecel'. It has the same vegetables with lotek and gado-gado, but some people like to put lime at the peanut spice, its fresher. It may differ pecel to lotek and gado-gado. Both of pecel, lotek or gado-gado can eat with rice or 'lontong', rice steamed in banana leaves. 

In traditional market or supermarket, you can find pecel peanut spice covered by plastic. So, it can use whenever you want, different way from lotek and gado-gado which only find in the stall. 

Lotek Colombo is open from 10am until 4pm. You just pay Rp. 6000, - to enjoy a serving of lotek and for the gado-gado Rp. 7000,- . Lotek Colombo has opened the stalls  in Sagan and Babarsari.
